Are you a true gardener if you don’t have at least one pair of overalls in your closet? Well, we believe anyone can be a gardener (even those of us without overalls), but once you start to get dirty you’ll quickly realize the benefits of a great pair of overalls. Not only are they adorable and classically fitting for a gardener, but they are also incredibly functional!
Gardening overalls help keep your clothes clean, they are comfortable to move and bend in, and they have spots to hold all of your favorite gardening tools. We’ve tested dozens of different overalls in the garden and here are our two favorites! These cute overalls are the best combo of form and function. Happy gardening!
Duluth Trading Heirloom Gardening Bib Overalls
These are hands-down our favorite gardening overalls. They come in super cute colors and patterns. Available as both long overalls (which can be rolled up to be capri-length) and shortalls, these overalls also have tons of pockets. They are stretchy and flex well while you move. And, maybe best of all, they are made of breathable fabric that dries quickly. The one flaw with these overalls is their size range—they only come in sizes ranging from XS to XXL. We’d love to see these overalls expand to plus sizes! You can see me wearing the long version of these overalls in this Instagram Reel and the shortall version in this Instagram Reel.
Brilliant Stranger’s Embroidered Stripes Bib Overalls
These handmade cotton overalls are made using Fair Trade fabric by artists from Nepal. They come in tons of colors, and the overalls are super soft and comfy—you could sleep in these! These cute overalls come in stock in sizes XS to 3X, but since they are handmade, you can probably message the seller and get custom sizes made if you fall outside that size range. The artist, Dawn Patel, also has a huge collection of other overalls to try out on their Etsy shop. You can see me wearing these in this Instagram Reel.
